The Bem Kickstand Portable Projector has quite an eye-catching design especially its built-in kickstand. We featured the projector with its unique patented form factor awhile ago. Bem is now back with a whole line of portable projectors, all featuring its trademark kickstand design and with sizes ranging from the micro version that easily fits on the palm of your hand to one that is slightly larger than the original but comes with all the bells and whistles including support for 3D video.
We start off with the smallest model of the new line, the Bem Kickstand Micro. This ultra portable version of the Bem Kickstand line features the same kickstand design but in a much smaller form factor. Ultra portable projectors are quite common nowadays. While the Kickstand Micro projector features an HDMI port and also play media from its USB port, you can also connect to it wirelessly with your smartphone or tablet via WiFi, something we have not seen on other portable projectors. This is a very handy feature especially if you want to run a presentation without the use of a laptop computer. It also has a built-in 3,200 mAh rechargeable battery.
The Micro’s bigger sibling is the Bem Kickstand Mini. The Mini is slighter larger but it packs in so much more. For starters, you don’t even need to connect to a smartphone or a tablet as the Mini has built-in Android OS. While you can make use of its fairly decent built-in stereo speakers, you can ramp up the audio quality by streaming audio wirelessly through an external pair of Bluetooth speakers. Last but not least, it has build-in storage for storing your presentations or favorite movies.
Bem’s top-of-the-range model is the Bem Kickstand WR1. The high performance portable projector has an even larger form factor but it also ups the ante when it comes to features. For starters, it includes support for 3D video playback and even throws in a pair of 3D glasses.
This model comes with a wireless remote that also doubles up as a lens cover which we think is a very neat idea. Last but not least, the WR1 throws in a build-in rechargeable battery to make it a truly wireless projector. The battery is rated to last about 2.5 to 3 hours of continuous play time.
Together with the original Bem Kickstand, the Bem Kickstand Portable Projector line is pretty impressive. If you are looking for a portable projector for either work or play, we are quite sure that you will find one among the line that will fit your needs.
