He noticed that many people walk around with their backpacks placed on their front instead of their back. The reason for this is of course it is a safer practice but backpacks are not designed to be carried in such a manner. It is both uncomfortable and can be hazardous to your health if the backpack is heavy.

The Bobby Anti-theft Backpack is designed to deter the two most common ways that thieves get to your valuables. They either covertly unzip your backpack and help themselves to the contents without your knowledge or they slash open your bag to access its contents. The first method is bad enough as you have just become another victim but the second leaves you with a damaged and useless backpack on top of your loss.

To deal with the first method, the Bobby Anti-theft Backpack cleverly conceals the zipper so that it can only be accessed when you remove the backpack from your back. The would-be pickpocketer will be totally baffled by the lack of a way to open the backpack. To deter pickpocketers who resort to the second method, this anti-theft backpack has a cut-proof protective layer that stops any attempt to cut through the bag.

With these safety measures in place, you can now safely leave your backpack on your back where it belongs. But the Bobby Anti-theft Backpack is more than just a pickpocketer unfriendly backpack. It has a few other features that make it superior than most ordinary backpacks.

Firstly, it is designed with the daily commuter in mind. On the shoulder strap is a hidden pocket for storing your metro card for easy access. Furthermore, there are additional hidden pockets on the sides and lower back for your phone, wallet and other smaller objects. You can easily access all these items without removing the backpack from your back.

Secondly, for cyclists and pedestrians, there are built-in reflective strips that keep you visible at night. These are mounted strategically and you can be seen from as far as 300 feet away.

However, our favorite additional feature of the lot is that you can charge your mobile device using a USB connector located on right side-flap. The backpack does not come with a built-in powerbank but it comes with a connector on the inside of the backpack that allows you to connect any USB powerbank. You can thus charge your mobile device while leaving the powerbank safely stored in the backpack.

The Bobby Anti-theft Backpack doesn’t look all that big but there is room inside to fit a 15.6″ laptop plus a tablet. There is additional room for a water bottle plus other essential items. There are quite a few pockets and dividers for organizing your stuff although we do wish that there were removable to provide a little more versatility. As it is, it is large enough to be used for a weekend getaway but stuffing in a pair of sneakers might be a little tricky.

The best use of the Bobby Anti-theft Backpack is probably as a daily backpack for your laptop and other daily essentials. It will also make an ideal backpack when vacationing. With this backpack on our backs, we can afford to rest a little easier every time we see the “Beware of pickpockets” sign.
