The makers of the Boomcase portable speakers honed their speaker design chops by turning vintage suitcases into speakers with rechargeable batteries. The speakers used state-of-the-art components like very efficient Class D amplifiers paired with high quality rechargeable batteries that last more than 10 hours. Recently Boomcase turned their attention to creating portable speakers using vintage barrels. The Boomcase Barrel Mini Edition is compact and lightweight plus it provides amazing sound both indoor and out.

Each Boomcase Barrel is one of a kind and totally unique. This is because the barrels used are actual vintage barrels and no two barrels are exactly alike. Each speaker houses a 50 Watt amplifier, one 5.25″ Aluminum or Black Cone Woofer and two Silk Dome Tweeters on the top.

This portable artistic wonder measures 11″ x 8″ x 5″ and weighs about 7 lbs. It is definitely not as portable as most portable speakers out there but most don’t sound half as good as the Boomcase Barrel speakers as well. Each speaker is not just an audio instrument but also a work of art.

While it is a bit hefty, it does come with a handle plus there is an option to add a removable shoulder strap for easy transportation. The rechargeable batteries on the Boomcase Barrel Mini Edition can last up to 18 hours. The bottom of the barrel has fixed feet to keep the speakers stable when placed on a flat surface. Charging wire is included and so is an audio wire to connect the speaker to your smarphone or music player.

The Boomcase Barrel Mini Edition is custom built by hand upon order and takes up to two weeks to build and ship. If you are in a hurry, you can request for a rush delivery for a fee. Other available customizable options include different colored stains for the barrel wood and also different colored metal bands . There is also an option to add Bluetooth connectivity.
