The Fizzics Draftpour is an updated version of the original Fizzics, now renamed as (what else?) the Fizzics Original. The company behind the product has taken all the user feedback from the original product to produce what they believe is a much improved version.
If you aren’t familiar with the original Fizzics, the Fizzics DraftPour promises to improve the taste of any ordinary can or bottle beer. It does this by adding uniformed sized bubbles or Micro-Foam by using a patented ultra sonic technology. It adds a much thicker head that enhances aroma, flavor, and mouth-feel. In other words, you get to enjoy fresh nitro-style draft beer anytime, anywhere and especially from the comfort of your own home.
So, what has changed? Looks wise, it now sport a slimmer and sleeker look. Secondly, the original only ran on batteries. The new model adds USB power on top of the batteries. We suspect that this is because battery drain was a bit of an issue with the original.

The slimmer size of the new Fizzics Draftpour means that it is more portable than the original. It still supports all kinds and sizes of can and bottle beer. However, it does not fit a beer growler like the original.
To use, just open the can or bottle and place it into the device. Pull the dispensing handle towards you to start the pour. About two-thirds way, push the handle in the opposite direction to add the Micro-Foam bubbles.
Whether the Micro-Foam system actually improves the beer is subjective and this is not surprising. Taste is a very personal thing. While most user feedback has been positive there are those who believe the added head does nothing or even makes it worse. On the other hand, there are others who believe that it depends on the type of beer you use it on.
