Not too long ago, the idea of having a portable Handheld UV Sterilizer Lamp sounded like one that will only appeal to germaphobes. But not anymore. A battery powered device that uses powerful UV light to disinfect objects and surfaces in less than 10 seconds sounds like a great idea to us. I am sure that many of you have the same thoughts as well.
The Handheld UV Sterilizer Lamp emits short-wavelength UV-C light. UV-C light is often used for destroying or inactivating microorganisms by disrupting their DNA. It is used primarily in medical sanitation and sterile work facilities. UV-C light effectively kills 99.99% of viruses and bacteria.
We have also seen UV-C being effectively used for sterilizing unsafe water sources to make it safe for consumption. So, it is not a new technology but technology has made it available in a compact and portable form factor.

The sterilizer is small and lightweight enough to fit into a pocket or a bag. To use, just flip it open and press the button on the side to turn it on. The device has a safety feature that prevents the light from turning on when the light is facing upwards. Never shine UV light on eyes or unprotected skin. To disinfect an object or surface, just place the light several inches above and wave the light for about 5 to 10 seconds.
The sterilizer runs on 4 AAA batteries. It also supports external power via a USB charger.
