The LG PoPo Pocket Photo 2 is the updated version of the original LG Pocket Photo we featured previously. This portable mobile photo printer is targeted at the instant gratification crowd who cannot wait to print out photos taken using the smartphones and share with friends and family. It turns your smartphone into a digital Polaroid camera.
The size of the LG PoPo Pocket Photo 2 is more compact than the original. It is now just 20 mm thick, 4 mm thinner than the original. The design has also been changed slightly giving it more playful look. The big update is that the printer now supports both iOS and Android. The older model only had support for Android. So now all you iPhone and iPad users can now join in the fun with the mobile printing crowd.
Other than the above differences, the new printer is pretty much the same as the original. It connects to any Android or iOS device using Bluetooth, NFC or USB. It uses special 2″ x 3″ Zink Media Photo Paper that has color embedded in the paper itself and is activated by heat. Therefore the printer does not require any ink cartridges. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that is able to print 30 photos via Bluetooth on a full charge. Using USB will allow the printer to print a little longer.
