The lantern requires minimal sunlight to start charging. With optimal sunlight, the battery fully charges within 12 hours. If that is too slow for you, you can always plug it into a power outlet. It only takes 2 hours to charge via USB.
The LumidAid PackLite is also available in the Super Charger version. This upgraded version emits a brighter light and comes with double the battery capacity. While it has the same dimensions, it is slightly heavier.
