The first product from Matador that we tried was the Matador Pocket Blanket. It is a fairly useful compact blanket or rather cover that has multiple uses such as a picnic mat, beach blanket or just as ground cover for an outdoor nap. Carrying on with its theme of useful outdoor accessories that takes up minimal space, Matador has come up with the Matador Droplet, a wet (or dry) bag that fits on a keychain. It is the perfect accessory for all kinds of outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, boating and much more.

The Matador Droplet gets its name from the fact that when folded up and shoved inside its enclosure, it is shaped like a teardrop and it hangs from a keychain ring. When unfolded, the bag measures about 10.5 inches by 9 inches and has a capacity of about 3 liters. It is not very large but then it is not meant to replace your regular storage bag. Its main purpose is to be used as a wet bag to segregate your wet or damp clothes from the rest of your dry clothes. Alternatively, it can also work as a dry bag to keep your stuff dry such as a clean change of clothes and your electronic gadgets while on a trip to the beach.

However, the Matador Droplet does not have a watertight seal. It only has a drawstring opening so it is not meant to be submerged inside water. Don’t rely on it to float on water as well. It would have been more useful as a drybag if it had a proper waterproof sealing.

While the wet bag itself does not look very large, there is enough space to stuff in a small towel, a pair of swim shorts and swimming goggles for example or a set of gym clothing. If you happen to be caught out in the rain without a waterproof backpack, you can safely rely on the Matador Droplet to keep your mobile phone, small tablet, a paperback novel and other small items you don’t want to get wet, bone dry.

The fact that the folded bag takes up so little space and weight, you can just keep it attached to your daily storage bag or use it as your keychain to ensure that you have it with you at all times.
