The Mini Power Plant Clock is quite a clever play of words. It is literally a small sized clock that is powered by a plant, hence Mini Power Plant Clock. Clever, isn’t it? The Mini Power Plant Clock may not look like much. In fact, it looks like someone just stuck a digital clock to the side of a white plastic pot. The interesting part is of course that the clock itself does not run on battery and is powered by the plant.
At the back of the clock are a two different types of metal blades. The metal blades are embedded into the soil. The wet soil acts as a conductor between the two metal blades and produces enough electricity to power up the clock. We don’t know the exact science of it but there might be some voodoo magic involved. This is all that we can make out from the funny looking diagrams in the all-Chinese manual.
There also seem to come with different kinds of plant seeds but we have no idea which types of plants are available. We also presume you can plant your own plants. Imagine having a herb garden that also powers the kitchen clock.
