If you love hard or soft boiled eggs, you would love this egg-celent gadget, the Rösle Egg Topper. Most of us use a knife to cut off the top of our eggs and more often than not, this leaves tiny bits of egg shell in the egg. The Rösle Egg Topper is a handy little device that cuts off the tops of hard or soft boiled eggs cleanly leaving no tiny bits of egg shell in your egg. Nothing spoils the pleasure of eating eggs than biting on pieces of egg shell.
Of course there are egg topper devices that does the same thing as the Rösle Egg Topper. However, the Rösle Egg Topper uses a rather interesting method of cutting through the egg shell. To use, you place the metal egg topper cup over your egg and then pull up the handle and release it. Inside the long handle is a spring and when the pulled handle is released, it causes the metal cup to vibrate and cut through the egg shell.
You may need more than one pull of the handle to crack through cleanly but with a little practice you should be able to get a nicely cut egg with just one or two tries. While it would probably be easier to just crack a raw egg, you can use the Rösle Egg Topper to crack open raw eggs. For in-egg-perienced egg crackers, it does save the hassle of picking out the shell pieces. Okay, we promise that is the last egg-pun we are gonna throw at you.
